img_6862A short while ago my daughter Ava and I attended a tree planting event organized by the Clean Foundation and sponsored by TD Canada Trust.

Protecting our aquatic environments is imperative to having clean and healthy water to drink. Part of protecting our water sheds and habitats means making sure the banks along these waterways remain stable.

I’m really proud of the Clean Foundation Foundation’s ‘Watershed Restoration Program.’ They’re working hard to restore our streams by planting trees nearby. This helps to create a better habitat for fish and greatly improves water quality.

I was delighted to attend the Clean Foundation’s tree planting event. My daughter and I had a great time planting trees with members from our community (even though we got really dirty!) The both of us learned a lot that day about the works Clean does to help our watersheds.

A neat fact we picked up was that trees are shown to positively affect people’s moods and well-being. Who knew? We’re both looking forward to the next tree planting event!
