For 15+ years the families of missing and murdered Indigenous women have called on the Government of Canada to do something. They’ve called on the government to end unacceptable rates of violence against Indigenous women and girls.
I’m proud that our Government is taking action after extensive consultation with Indigenous peoples.
We’ve named five outstanding Commissioners to do the work necessary to put an end to this national tragedy. #MMIW
