Today marks the 76th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid.

Did you know that the majority of Allied troops in the raid were Canadian? Of the 6,100 troops, 4,963 of them were from Canada. Only 2,210 Canadian troops would make it back to England, and many were wounded.

Today we recognize and honour the Canadians who fought in the Dieppe Raid alongside Allied Forces to help bring peace and freedom to the people of Europe.

We must remember them. Together, we can keep their memory alive for generations to come.
