DARTMOUTH – COLE HARBOUR YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH TOWN HALL
I’m pleased that we’ll be joined by Mental Health Advocate, Dexter J. Nyuurnibe.

From day one I said that Mental Health awareness and outreach needed to be a priority for our office. The Dartmouth-Cole Harbour Mental Health Town Hall is a non-partisan community event and everyone in our community is encouraged to attend.

A panel will start the discussion and we’ll move toward an open forum.

This meeting is part of a series of mental health town halls where each meeting will have a specific focus.  I’m hopeful that we can create a safe space for our community to discuss the shortcomings of our current mental health program and treatment delivery- along with success stories.

I intend on bringing the suggestions from the Dartmouth-Cole Harbour town hall back to Ottawa where I will submit a report to the Minister of Health. I encourage you to come with an open mind, contribute (if you like) listen and see what we can do to better deliver mental health services to youth in our communities.

We’ll regularly update this page as the town hall takes form. We have community leaders who want to be involved and we’re always looking for ideas and feedback.
