We know that this pandemic has been so difficult for Canadians waiting on medical procedures. That’s why our Liberal Government is delivering extra health care funding to the provinces and territories.

  • Last week, we provided an extra top up of $103,022,000 through the Canada Health Transfer to the Province of Nova Scotia. And we provided an additional $25,755,000 to further support Nova Scotia’s vaccine roll out.
  • This funding will help clear the medical backlog, ensuring that the province can provide better access to primary and patient care.
  • This builds on our substantial investments made to support Nova Scotia through this pandemic. And this funding is on top of the increased health transfer funding already committed to for 2021-22.
