As an ally Member of the Parliamentary Black Caucus, I signed my name to this statement.

Canadians watched in horror as swastikas, Confederate flags and other symbols of hate and terror were flying on Parliament Hill.

Peaceful protests are important to our democracy, but there is nothing peaceful about a swastika, or a racist Confederate flag, and they have no place in Canada.
