I’m so grateful for our healthcare workers and the students working hard to join them!

I joined Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland at Dalhousie University’s Centre for Collaborative Clinical Learning and Research today to learn more about the Centre’s simulation-based learning environment that helps enhance patient-centred communication skills and more.

Health care may be within the purview of the provincial government, but we are stronger when we work together. And we need to do everything we can so folks can access the healthcare they need, when they need it.

From Student Loan Forgiveness of up to $30k for nurses and up to $60k for doctors working in underserved communities, to new measures to better recognize the credentials of health care practitioners who come from another country to provide care to Canadians—we want to make it easier for healthcare workers to live and work here.

We’re introducing many new measures through Budget 2022 to improve healthcare in Canada.

Have a look!
