We know that Canada’s truckers and the trucking industry are crucial to our supply chain and our economy. Without them, we wouldn’t have food on the shelves in our grocery stores!
Yesterday, joined by Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, I met with Armour Transportation Systems in Burnside to have a tour and talk about issues facing their industry.
The one thing we heard loud and clear was the need to help address labour shortages in the industry. Canada needs truckers and we need to help get more folks trained, and help bring more workers into Canada.
