It’s Purple Day!
Did you know that Purple Day was founded by Nova Scotia’s own, Cassidy Megan?
Over 300,000 Canadians, including Cassidy Megan, live with epilepsy. She created this day to help raise awareness of epilepsy and to eliminate the fear and stigma surrounding it.
Back in 2012, my friend Geoff Regan’s Private Member’s Bill C-278, The Purple Day Act, became law, and officially recognized March 26th as Purple Day across Canada!
Together, we can dispel the myths, learn the facts, and make a difference for Canadians with epilepsy!
