When combined with the Canada Greener Homes Grant, this interest-free financing can help you complete some of the more major retrofits recommended by your energy advisor.
OIL TO HEAT PUMP AFFORDABILITY PROGRAM
Up-front grant payments of up to $10,000 when combined with the Canada Greener Homes Grant!
This program helps lower-income homeowners who currently heat their homes with oil, transition to electric cold climate air source heat pumps with back-up heating.
Here’s what’s eligible:
- electrical and mechanical upgrades required for the new heat pump;
- safe removal and/or decommissioning of the oil tank;
- installation of a back-up electric heating system (as required); and
- switching over other oil-using household systems, such as a hot water heater (where necessary).
