Today we celebrated Rosemary Eaton’s legacy and opened the brand-new Wetland Discovery Area and Outdoor Classroom at the Cole Harbour Heritage Farm Museum in her honour.

An accomplished photojournalist, activist, and member of the Order of Canada — Rosemary Eaton documented and preserved Cole Harbour’s rich history for future generations to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who made this beautiful space possible. This is a truly special legacy project.

This wetland is an important example of biodiversity here in Cole Harbour, and thanks to early efforts made by the Cole Harbour Rural Heritage Society it’s been saved.

Thank you to Elder Geri Musqua-Leblanc for the very moving and educational smudge ceremony and blessing.
I learned so much.
