Over 30 years ago, a couple emigrated from Lebanon, and opened a restaurant at the Halifax Shopping Centre. They had big dreams and worked hard to make them a reality.

Fast forward a few decades, and Mezza Lebanese Kitchen now has over 20 locations across the Maritimes, including 3 in Dartmouth, plus their current 3,000 sq.ft. production facility. And the original owners’ sons Tony and Peter Nahas are now at the helm of this locally-owned business.

Mezza is growing so fast that they’ve outgrown their old production facility and they’re ready to expand in Dartmouth. We believe in the importance of supporting businesses and helping them grow.

My colleague Halifax West MP Lena Metlege Diab joined me in Dartmouth today where we announced a repayable contribution of $500,000 to support their brand-new 15,000 sq.ft. facility!

This new facility will help Mezza prepare food for their existing restaurants, major wholesalers, and institutions like hospitals and universities. Plus, this will help them continue to expand and grow, with more restaurants on the way.

A real success story. Thank you for choosing Dartmouth!
