Back in 2022, our federal government delivered funding to support the first phase of True North Crescent with the Affordable Housing Association of Nova Scotia.
As of today, we’ve helped fund multiple phases of this incredible development, and folks are living in these affordable townhomes with their rent geared to their income.
More homes are under construction, and soon, more families and individuals will move into this community.
We also provided funding to help ensure these homes are energy efficient. As a result, this housing development produces (at least) as much energy as those living there will use.
More families and individuals now have a safe and affordable place to live in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour, and the affordable homes on this site will remain affordable for generations to come.
This is great news, but all orders of government must step up and work together to do more. Let’s get it done.
