Like I always say—companies in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour are doing BIG things, and MilAero is one of them!

Loved joining the wire-cutting celebration today with my colleagues as MilAero announced they’re doubling the size of their facility right here in Dartmouth’s Woodside Industrial Park—and adding more good jobs along the way.

MilAero is a woman-owned, Indigenous-led company that’s grown from a small startup at Innovacorp into one of Canada’s trusted suppliers for the Aerospace and Defence sector. Co-founder Debora Greedy—a proud Dartmouthian—is helping lead the charge, creating good jobs and putting our community on the map for precision manufacturing and high-tech innovation.

This expansion is about so much more than just square footage—it’s about keeping people safe, providing good, skilled jobs, and proving that young people in Nova Scotia don’t have to leave home to do big things. They can stay right here and help lead the way in defence, aerospace, clean tech, and beyond.

The energy in the room today was electric. So many people were proud to celebrate MilAero’s success—and rightly so!

Congrats to Debora, Paul, and the entire MilAero team. We’re lucky to have you right here in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour.
