Yesterday in historic Cherry Brook, Nova Scotia, Minister Marc Miller announced Canada’s 2026 Black History Month theme: 30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations — From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries.

Nova Scotia is the perfect place to share this powerful theme. For more than 400 years, the African Nova Scotian community has been deeply woven into the fabric of this province, with generations shaping its strength, culture, and success.

Huge thanks to the Black Cultural Centre for Nova Scotia for hosting, and for the incredible work you do to preserve, celebrate, and share Black history every day.
