This Saturday, join us outside of Alderney Landing near Ferry Terminal Park for a community clean up!!

I’m teaming up with volunteers from across Dartmouth-Cole Harbour to help clean up part of the Dartmouth side of Halifax Harbour. It’s a great opportunity to clean up garbage, plastic and pollution, and show our commitment to a cleaner environment for our kids and grandkids.

As Canadians, we have a deep connection to the water. We’re home to approximately 8,500 rivers, 2 million lakes, and the world’s longest coastline connecting three different oceans.

From fishers to paddlers, swimmers to sailors, Canadians visit our oceans, rivers, lakes, and streams to earn a living and to enjoy the outdoors. But every year, 8 million tons of plastic flow into our oceans, choking our wildlife and damaging the natural spaces that we love.

Together, we can make a difference in Dartmouth-Cole Harbour, I hope you’ll join me.
