I just announced that our Government is investing over $360,000 for arts, cultural, and heritage events and festivals in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour through Canadian Heritage for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons.

This funding supports festivals like Nova Multifest, Afrifest, Francofest, the Bluenose Ghosts Festival, Fuse Festival, the Fire & Water Festival, the Maritime Fiddle Fest, the Emerging Lens Multicultural Independent Film Festival, and the Christkindlmarket Festival.

The funding makes Canada Day extra special by supporting the Halifax/Dartmouth Canada Day events and the Canada Day Boardwalk Art here at Alderney.

We support The Royal Nova Scotia Tattoo events, arts and cultural activities at Conseil Communautaire Du Grand-Havre, the Atlantic Flamenco productions, and Journée Familiale de la Saint-Jean-Baptiste.

And most recently La Fête Nationale des Acadiens à Halifax.

These events make our community stronger, and our Government is thrilled to support them.
