Great to attend the National Association of Federal Retirees’ Luncheon today. It’s always good to talk about the issues that matter to retirees.
I also had the opportunity to chat with Capt. Earle Wagner. He served with the Merchant Navy during the Second World War and retired after 48 years of marine service.
Through Capt. Wagner’s roles as a member and President of the Canadian Merchant Navy Association and Chairman of the Master Mariners of Canada Memorial Fund, Atlantic Division he successfully advocated with colleagues to ensure Merchant Navy Veterans are eligible for pensions and benefits from Veterans Affairs Canada.
