Newly unemployed due to COVID-19?

The PM just announced a new streamlined Canada Emergency Response Benefit to help support you.

Provides $500 per week for up to four months, to Canadians who lose income due to COVID-19
Simpler streamlined benefit that absorbs the care and support streams we originally announced on March 18th
The application portal will be available in early April. Canadians would begin to receive their payments within 10 days of application. The benefit will be available from March 15, 2020 until October 3, 2020.
