Good news!
There are now 4 COVID-19 vaccine candidates for review with Health Canada! Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca-Oxford, and Johnson & Johnson.
Once vaccines are approved, we’ll make sure every Canadian has access, for free. Work is well underway with the provinces and territories to create a distribution plan, and we’re investing in all of the equipment that’s needed!
Our Government has the most diverse vaccine portfolio of any country. (We’ve secured up to 429 million doses!)
For example, if Moderna’s vaccine is safe, effective and approved by Health Canada, we are guaranteed some doses from their 1st batch!
