So grateful that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined me virtually to meet with health care workers at the Dartmouth General Hospital today.

I still have goosebumps from listening to their stories about life on the frontlines of this pandemic.

Through uncertainty they’ve stepped up, pivoted and implemented safe ways to treat these infections, while continuing to care for regular patients!

From the paramedic, who visit homes and treats where COVID-19 infections may be present, to the nurses triaging at the ER—to all those who provide expert care to help folks make it through these infections…I am deeply grateful for all they’re doing to keep us safe.

Folks keep saying, Nova Scotia has been so lucky to have, for the most part, few COVID-19 cases.

But it’s not about luck, it’s about the hard work and skill of our healthcare workers, and the care that Nova Scotians have for each other to do what’s needed to keep each other safe.
