AMAZING NEWS for active transportation in our municipality!
Together, the Government of Canada, Government of Nova Scotia and the Halifax Regional Municipality are investing $25 Million for the Halifax Regional Centre All Ages and Abilities Bikeway Network!!
Spanning through Dartmouth and Halifax, this network will include a 30km system of bicycle and pedestrian pathways. The network will include protected bike lanes, multi-use pathways, and local street bikeways.
The project will include the Downtown AAA Bikeway Network; Macdonald Bridge Bikeway Connectors Project; Africville Active Transportation Connectors; Dartmouth North Bicycle Corridor; West End and North End Local Street Bikeways; Midtown Bikeways; and the Dartmouth Harbourfront Greenway Completion.
