I’m a Member of the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, and we just tabled our report on Systemic Racism in Policing in Canada. It’s no secret that Canada’s institutions, most which were born from colonialism, were designed with the cards stacked against Black, Indigenous and racialized people. And we know that [...]
One of my favourite Dartmouth-Cole Harbour infrastructure investments! When I delivered millions in funding to help replace the storm sewer at Sullivan's Pond and the Greenway, it revitalized the area and daylighted the Sawmill River. Who knew that a wastewater/sewer replacement could look so nice?! Love this place so much. You can learn about [...]
Signed, sealed, and delivered. I love sending these certificates of recognition to graduating students across Dartmouth—Cole Harbour. I’m so proud of all of you, and I know that folks here are too.

Thank you to Padre S. Cochrane, M.Div for sharing this photo of the very small 77th Anniversary of [...]

We are so lucky to have an incredible variety of food choices throughout Dartmouth—Cole Harbour. I love supporting our [...]

I am heartbroken for the friends and loved ones of this family—for a 9-year-old child whose family was stolen from them. Islamophobia has no place here. https://www.canada.ca/.../statement-from-minister-of...
On Friday I stopped by the Cancer Survivors Daffodil Garden to help plant more bulbs. Love that Edmonds donated tons of bulbs to make sure that this place is even brighter next spring!! And it was so nice to catch up with Judie Edgar. Although I asked him to dig to help us out, [...]
It’s National AccessAbility Week, and the perfect time to announce that two streams of the Enabling Accessibility Fund are open for proposals! This is the same fund that provided accessible washrooms at Mic Mac AAC, and the amazing EZ Dock at Shubie Park that helps paddlers of all abilities easily enter and exit the [...]
