Our Government's Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) Program has a big impact on our community. Not only does this program provide job opportunities with meaningful work experience for young Canadians, it provides local non-profit organizations and small businesses with funding to employ young people! It was nice to visit with the folks at the Dartmouth [...]

I joined my colleagues Andy Fillmore, Ralph Goodale, Bernadette Jordan, and Harjit Sajjan to learn more about the devastating impact Hurricane Dorian has had on Nova Scotians and their properties. Ministers Goodale and Sajjan provided updates on the Government of Canada's support and response to the damage from the storm. We took the time to thank all of the [...]

There are a lot of volunteers and folks in our community who selflessly work hard for others. A little while ago, I had the opportunity to recognize a few of Dartmouth-Cole Harbour's champions. We thanked the folks [...]

Founded in 1987, the Dartmouth Lawn Bowls Club is an important part of our community. Hardworking volunteers are the reason this club is so successful. They've built a community [...]

You can find Environment Canada's hurricane projections here: https://weather.gc.ca/hurricane/track_e.html The Minister of Public Safety let me know that the [...]

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy! This morning I joined Cole Harbour business owners to chat about the many opportunities available to help them scale up and take advantage of Canada's growing, fast-paced economy. We've lowered taxes and removed much of the regulatory burden facing small businesses in Canada. We now have [...]

Huge congratulations to owner Debbie and all the staff at Staggers Pub & Grub on your official reopening! So glad to see that you’ve reopened following storm damage, and I know our community is looking forward to stopping by and supporting you. They’re open until midnight at 26 Portland Street in Dartmouth.         [...]
