I hosted ACOA Minister Gudie Hutchings to show why investments in Dartmouth matter.

Making investments to help local businesses grow, like the vibrant businesses in Downtown Dartmouth, and investments in our community spaces, like Alderney Landing, are so important. My friend Gudie Hutchings, was recently appointed the Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), and she stopped by Downtown Dartmouth to see some of our [...]

NAIG 2023 – Celebrating Athletes

Love celebrating these wonderful athletes! Congratulations everyone. I’ve learned that the medals for the 2023 North American Indigenous Games were originally designed by Ella Scothorn as a youth, and then refined by Mi’kmaw artist Tayla Fern Paul. I’d love to learn even more about the Mi’kmaq symbolism—they’re beautiful.

If there’s one thing I’ve loved about the 2023 North American Indigenous Games, it’s the sportsmanship!

If there’s one thing I’ve loved about the 2023 North American Indigenous Games, it’s the sportsmanship. Although competitive, the athletes have been so respectful and kind to one another. They cheer each other on. They build each other up. It’s so good to see. I watched Team Nova Scotia play Team Newfoundland and Labrador [...]
