It was great to see Defence Minister Anita Anand this weekend for the HMCS Halifax departure ceremony. She spent most of her time speaking with crew members and their families—and you could see how much she cares about them. How proud she is of them. We all are.

Last week I had an opportunity to spend time at Maritime Forces Atlantic - Forces Maritimes de l'Atlantique. You can feel the naval readiness among personnel throughout the Royal Canadian Navy. I’m deeply proud of those who serve and have served.
