Today is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women. Today we remember that on December 6, 1989, 13 students and an administrator at l'École Polytechnique were murdered because they were women.
Each year on the anniversary of the Halifax Explosion, a small ceremony takes place at the Mont Blanc Cannon Site located at the corner of Albro Lake Road and Pine Crest Drive in Dartmouth.
