What an incredible day!
I first visited Irving Shipbuilding back in 2015 with Prime Minister Trudeau and it’s turned into a hive of activity since!
Today, Irving Shipbuilding opened their doors to the public and I joined thousands of others to see the brand new Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships!
It was a great day for folks in our communities to finally get to see these ships and this incredible facility. Shipbuilders were there telling guests about their trades and craft. And we all learned so much from Women Unlimited who were there chatting about the great work they do. The pride these tradespeople take in their work was obvious and I appreciate that they took the time to share their knowledge with us.
Between the ice cream, cake, ships and tours – I’d say everyone had a wonderful time.
