- We’re pausing the federal carbon pollution price on home heating oil for 3-years so everyone has time to switch to electric heat pumps
- We’ll work with the provinces to install FREE heat pumps for people who make at or below the median household income
- To help encourage people to make the switch, we’re providing a $250 incentive payment
- We’re adding an extra $5,000 to the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program so eligible homeowners can get up to $15,000 in federal funding for installing a heat pump.
- We’re doubling the rural top-up on quarterly climate action incentive payments
