Canada stands with Ukraine.
It’s been two years since Russia launched their brutal, illegal invasion of Ukraine—an assault against the rules-based order.
As Ukraine continues to fight for their sovereignty and for their freedom, they are fighting for democracy.
As the Prime Minister said earlier today, “they are fighting to remind the world that democracy is both important enough to die for and strong enough to win.”
From launching sweeping sanctions on Russia’s oligarchs, to providing humanitarian assistance and military equipment — Canada’s support for Ukraine is unequivocal.
I recently returned from meetings with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and I’ve never seen the Alliance more resolute. We are united in our support for Ukraine.
