I am bursting with Dartmouth pride after hearing this news.
I know I mention them all the time, but Carbon Cure just won the prestigious $7.45 million USD NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE competition!
Located here in Dartmouth, Carbon Cure’s brilliant technology recycles and injects CO₂ into concrete in order to reduce its carbon footprint! During the process, the CO₂ is permanently trapped within the concrete. Now that’s climate action.
I remember back in 2017 when I toured Carbon Cure, and delivered a $510,000 investment so they could provide green jobs here in Dartmouth, and finesse this super technology. Since then, they’ve grown into an internationally celebrated clean technology company.
Our Government firmly believes in the importance of supporting clean technology in order to protect our environment and grow our economy, and we believe in companies like Dartmouth’s Carbon Cure!
