Canada is at its best when everybody is included. When people with disabilities are given the opportunity to fully contribute and participate in their communities and workplaces, we create a stronger Canada for everyone!!

National AccessAbility Week, taking place across Canada from May 27 to June 2, aims to bring this perspective to the forefront, to further promote inclusion and accessibility, to celebrate our progress and to get inspired to further break down barriers.
By working with community partners, we all play a role in making Canada an even more accessible and inclusive place so that all Canadians have an opportunity to succeed.

As we celebrate National AccessAbility Week, we are reminded that, while we’ve made great strides in promoting inclusion for Canadians with disabilities, there is still much work to do.

Our government plans on introducing new federal accessibility legislation to eliminate barriers and ensure greater accessibility and opportunities for Canadians with disabilities in areas under federal jurisdiction.

Do you know someone who has helped make a difference by promoting inclusion and accessibility in Dartmouth-Cole Harbour? I’d love to recognize their hard work!
Send an email to Darren.Fisher@parl.gc.ca and let me know about them!
