“I’ve advocated for an IKEA here in Dartmouth since my days on council. I’m thrilled for the vote of confidence in Dartmouth.”
It will take approximately 16 months to construct the store employing many in the Dartmouth area, and once opened will start by employing about 350 people. This location will also be a fully sustainable store with LED lighting, and solar and geothermal technologies.
All furniture displays from today’s announcement will be donated to local charities.
