This is big !
Dartmouth’s COVEocean was just named one of two Canadian Accelerators for NATO DIANA.
(In case you missed it, ‘DIANA’ is NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for North Atlantic, and the North American HQ will be located here in HRM.)
COVE is internationally renown as an incredible and inclusive hub for innovators.
It’s a place where brilliant minds come together, access research and subject experts, and build smart and sustainable solutions related to ocean technology.
And it’s located right here in Dartmouth.
Like I always say, Atlantic Canada is a culture of innovation.
And our community has a long tradition, and a well-earned reputation, of innovation and maritime expertise—and it’s organizations like COVE that help accelerate these technologies and see that our region continues to punch above its weight.
From small start ups to rapidly expanding multinational companies—the ocean technology and defence sectors continue to grow here at home.
These companies are not only providing good jobs that help give our kids the opportunity to choose to stay, work, and raise their families here in Nova Scotia, they’re also attracting top talent from around the world.
Today’s announcement is the next step in securing Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada’s position as a hub of maritime innovation, and will help ensure Canada remains a vital contributor to peace, prosperity, and innovation on the global stage!
