Mental Health Town Hall Series – PTSD, Veterans, 1st Responders, Our Community
April 24, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
| FreeFocusing on: PTSD
Whether you’re a Veteran, 1st Responder- or any other member of our community we invite you to join us. PTSD doesn’t discriminate- and can affect everyone and the people around them.
I’m pleased that we’ll be joined by Veterans Emergency Transition Services President, Jim Lowther.
We know that PTSD is affecting so many members of our community. We must do more for those who suffer.
From day one I said that Mental Health awareness and outreach needed to be a priority for our office. The Dartmouth-Cole Harbour Mental Health Town Hall is a non-partisan community event and everyone in our community is encouraged to attend.
This meeting is part of a series of mental health town halls where each meeting will have a specific focus. I’m hopeful that we can create a safe space for our community to discuss the state of our current mental health program and treatment delivery- along with success stories.
I intend on bringing the suggestions from the Dartmouth-Cole Harbour town hall back to Ottawa where I will submit reports to all relevant Ministers. I encourage you to come with an open mind, contribute (if you like) listen and see what we can do to better deliver mental health services to our community
ALL ARE WELCOME
This event has passed. You can submit your ideas/comments/suggestions for our report up to one week following the town hall here.
