A session with Senator Jane Cordy
Fairbanks Centre
54 Locks Road, Dartmouth NS
April 14, 2016
7 p.m.
Over the past few years, Canada’s Senate has been scrutinized and criticized as never before. Recent changes have seen the appointment of Senators who have no partisan alignment, selected by the Prime Minister on the recommendation of an external panel.

Most of us have an opinion on the Senate, but many of us aren’t sure what its role is, and why it exists within our Parliamentary system of government.

As a Senator since 2000, Jane Cordy has a unique perspective on the work of the Senate and on its future as the Chamber of “sober second thought” in Canada’s government.

Everybody Welcome
