What an incredible night sharing our love of reading with kids in our community!
Councillor Tony Mancini, Shubenacadie Canal Commission and I had a ball opening the new Shubie Park Little Free Library. We were thrilled to make this project a reality along with the great craftsmanship of Pat Ferguson.
When we first opened our office, our Team made literacy a special community focus, along with poverty and mental health advocacy. So many kids brought some of their favourite books to fill the library. And we made sure to give them a new book in return.
We enjoyed cotton candy and marshmallows on the campfire! I’m always impressed by Dartmouth-Cole Harbour’s community spirit.
