After a couple of productive days in Ottawa exchanging views on Arctic security and defence modernization, I’m now headed to Iqaluit with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation.
Joined by colleagues from our fellow Allied nations, we’re meeting with Indigenous representatives, military leaders, officials, and experts to deepen our understanding of the security challenges—and the incredible opportunities—across the Arctic and Northern Flank.
One thing that really stood out before we even took off: see the plane in the photo?
The front half is filled with food and essential supplies headed North, while passengers are seated in the back. It’s a powerful reminder of the unique logistics, realities, and resilience of Canada’s North.
Looking forward to learning more over the next few days!
