Heartfelt congratulations to my pal Tareq Hadhad, his family, and the whole team at Peace by Chocolate on the Grand Opening of their new store on the Halifax waterfront!
Incredible chocolatiers, the Hadhad family has been making beautiful treats for decades. But in 2012 their chocolate factory in Syria was destroyed. The family had to leave everything behind and flee to Lebanon.
Between Nov 2015 and Feb 2016, Canada welcomed more than 25,000 Syrian refugees with open arms—the Hadhad family included!
Their chocolate factory is proudly located in Antigonish, and this new beautiful store is located at 1741 Lower Water Street, Suite 166.
