I attended the commemorative ceremony at the National War Memorial in honour of the 75th anniversary of the first UN peacekeeping mission

Did you know that today marks the 75th anniversary of the first UN peacekeeping mission?

We are deeply proud and grateful for the more than 125,000 Canadian Armed Forces members and the over 4,000 Canadian civilian police who have served on UN peacekeeping missions and on other operations in support of peace around the world.

Today, I attended the commemorative ceremony at the National War Memorial in honour of these incredible peacekeepers and this special anniversary.

Thank you to everyone who has served to bring peace and stability abroad.
