Community gardens bring neighbours together and help create greater food security. The Landrace Community Garden in Dartmouth is an excellent example of this.
And this wonderful garden space is about to get even better. I just delivered an investment of almost $10,000 for the Landrace Community Garden Society through the Canada Community Revitalization Fund!
This investment will help add a greenhouse to the community garden, helping extend the growing season. That means more fresh local produce here in Dartmouth!
The funding will also help Landrace add a gazebo to provide a shaded outdoor gathering space for all to enjoy.
