It’s shameful that Poilievre has banned his Conservative Members of Parliament from advocating for their communities to receive housing funding through our government’s programs. He’s even banned them from talking about the programs all together.

The most important job of an MP is to represent their constituents and advocate on their behalf. Banning them and silencing their voices is unethical to me. But I’d also never agree to be silenced.

As you may have read through the media, Poilievre continues to state publicly that he would cut the very housing programs that are getting more homes built here in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour.

From the new homes at Mount Hope Village to True North Crescent and Main Street Centre—families and individuals are living in homes that were built through our government’s national housing strategy, and more homes are on the way.

I can’t imagine choosing politics over people.

We’re elected to do some good and I hope these MPs choose their constituents over Poilievre and his reckless actions.
