It was wonderful to attend the Dartmouth Heritage Museum Emancipation Day Social and have an opportunity to listen to Senator Wanda Thomas Bernard.

Senator Wanda Thomas Bernard played a crucial role ensuring that Emancipation Day is officially recognized across Canada. A true force of nature, Canadians are well-served by having her voice in the Senate.

Also, oh my goodness, what a great baker. She made the biscuits for the strawberry shortcake.
