As a hockey Dad, SEDMHA has always been bitter sweet. It represents the end of the minor hockey season. No more practices, no more games and a long wait to watch the kids play until next season. But SEDMHA is incredible.
SEDMHA is the premiere minor hockey tournament in Eastern Canada. The tournament has come a long way since beginning in the 70s. SEDMHA is known for being the largest and most exciting tournament of the year. Where else can you watch a team from Serbia play a team from Bedford? Awesome.
Unfortunately, this tournament doesn’t get the recognition it serves as an economic driver in our community. SEDMHA fills the hotels, retail stores and restaurants in the municipality- it truly deserves our support.
The tournament is run by a huge family of volunteers- many of which have been helping for its entire 40 year history. HUGE thanks to all of the volunteers who work hard to make SEDMHA happen. You’re providing an amazing experience for our kids and families to remember for years to come.
