I’ve heard from constituents that our government’s Canada-wide early learning and child care system has been saving their family thousands per year in daycare fees

I heard from a mother in Dartmouth East, who let me know that since our government implemented the Canada-wide early learning and child care system, their family is saving thousands of dollars a year in daycare fees for their son!

They’re using the savings to put their child in organized sports.

We know that without access to affordable childcare, many parents, mothers in particular, struggle to get back to work. This program not only supports working parents and makes life more affordable for families, it also strengthens our economy by getting these skilled workers back into the workforce.

I can’t wait until regulated daycare fees are, on average, $10/day in Nova Scotia, and for the provincial government to keep increasing the number of daycare spaces across the province! Let’s get it done.
