They are the people who are constantly doing meaningful work for others, making our community stronger, better, and more connected.

Sean François
For being a dedicated community volunteer, coaching many youth soccer and basketball teams, for mentoring, and inspiring others in the community with sport.

Robyn Carruthers
For creating Santas for Seniors and for bringing joy to nearly 1,000 seniors across HRM since 2010. Her initiative mobilizes 700+ volunteers to provide gifts and year-round support, ensuring seniors in need are cared for and remembered in the community.

Judie and Jim Edgar
Judie is a two-time breast cancer survivor, and Jim a kidney cancer survivor.
Their tenacious attitudes and leadership created Atlantic Canada’s first Daffodil Garden for Cancer Survivors.
The Daffodil Garden symbolizes hope, offering a peaceful space for survivors, families, and healthcare workers, spreading strength and inspiration.

Robert E. White
For being a dedicated leader in the local cycling community. He founded two clubs, taught cycling safety, and organized events, introducing so many to the joy of cycling and healthy active living.

Terra Crowe
For being a dedicated community volunteer and creating the Cole Harbour Community fridge to help ensure better food security for families in the Cole Harbour area.

Sergeant Joseph Taplin
For being an advocate for mental health awareness by sharing his PTSD journey through media and speaking engagements. For mentoring Veterans, assisting with benefits applications, fundraising, and for coaching youth in our community.

Daniel Parker Courtney
For being a volunteer whose tireless efforts in outreach and veteran support have greatly strengthened the Army Navy Air Force Veterans Unit 349 and the Dartmouth community.

Katheryn Myketyn
For being a dedicated volunteer and leader in sport, tirelessly supporting the Dartmouth Lawn Bowling and Curling Clubs through coaching, officiating, fundraising, and community spirit.

Robert C. Taylor
For sharing his exceptional talent as a fiddle player and teacher, and his generous contributions to the community—bringing joy to countless people, especially seniors through music.

Arthur Hood
For being a dedicated and long-term volunteer, including over 30 years as president of the Kiwanis Music Festival, which has enriched thousands of young lives through music.

Cassidy Bellefontaine
For creating and fundraising for the Period Poverty Program, providing menstrual products to low-income families. And for volunteering and organizing events that bring our community together.

Kimberley Fraser Conrad
For being a dedicated community leader whose hands-on volunteer work with Kiwanis, the Masons, and local charities strengthens and enriches the Dartmouth—Cole Harbour community.

Elisabeth Jackson
For being a champion for inclusion and food security, dedicated to implementing policies that promote choice and uphold the dignity of those who rely on food banks.

Christine Hoehne
For being a dedicated community volunteer, working tirelessly to coordinate the Christ Church Food Bank, dedicating 30+ hours a week to support over 200 families in Dartmouth.

Jennifer Mosher
For community leadership as she transformed Abenaki Aquatic Club into a top facility in Dartmouth—Cole Harbour. She spearheaded the clubhouse construction, expanded programs for all ages, and introduced inclusive options for individuals with disabilities, fostering community and connection.

Gary James Toohey
For being a dedicated volunteer at ANAF Dartmouth Unit 349, for example, during COVID, Gary continued to find new ways to maintain support and services to the Veterans and members of the community.
