Yesterday, joined by the Prime Minister, we visited and thanked the incredible employees of the Canadian Hurricane Centre and the Atlantic Storm Prediction Centre. Located in downtown Dartmouth, these incredible scientists are responsible for predicting and monitoring the evolution of storms like Fiona.

We received an in-depth briefing on their work, learned more about the specialized tools used by meteorologists, and had time to express our gratitude for their efforts. These centres work in close collaboration with emergency management organizations, and we are so grateful for their work.

Thank you to John Parker, Bob Robichaud, Ken MacDonald, Dr. Chris Fogarty and all of the staff who work so hard to provide Canadians with the best information possible on these storms.
