We’re delivering $21.5 million to build, repair, and preserve more affordable homes here in Nova Scotia!
This includes $8.2 million for Phase 2 of True North—1, 2, and 3 bedroom net-zero homes in Dartmouth North.
This means 32 more homes for individuals & families here in Dartmouth!
Back in Dec of 2022, we delivered $3.7M to the Affordable Housing Association of Nova Scotia (AHANS) to build the first phase of True North, deeply affordable housing.
Like with Phase 1, AHANS will operate this development.
Huge thanks to AHANS for the work you’re doing. We need to keep partnering with good organizations to get more homes built.
This safe and truly affordable housing will help more of our neighbours have stability.
More families won’t just be living here, they’ll be thriving here.
Today’s announcement isn’t about dollars and units. It’s about homes.
We’re building strong and resilient communities where everyone has a chance to grow and thrive.
