Love the Purple Day Gala!
Every year, Cassidy Megan and the folks at Epilepsy Association of The Maritimes put on a beautiful gala to raise awareness and fundraise for those living with epilepsy. Love that my daughter Ava could join me.
After reflecting on her own struggles with epilepsy, Cassidy Megan came up with the idea for Purple Day back in 2008. Then in 2012, inspired by Cassidy Megan’s story and advocacy, former MP Geoff Regan’s Private Member’s bill, the Purple Day Act, officially declared March 26th as Purple Day across Canada.
