Wow. I’m still blown away.
It’s not every day that you get to meet rock stars. No, I don’t mean the kind that are up on stage. (Although I did meet the crew of Platinum Blonde this week!) I’m talking about our amazing athletes of Team Canada.
This week the whole House of Commons was filled to the brim with Team Canada athletes. We had more than 200 Canadian Paralympians and Olympians march through the House. It was hard to get a great view from the back- but they all seemed thrilled to get selfies with the PM!
It was a pleasure honouring them with my colleagues for their top-notch performances at Rio de Janeiro 2016.
I was super pleased to meet our flag bearer, Rosie MacLennan! It was also great seeing athletes from home like paddlers Jenny Orton and Mark de Jonge!
